The name gives a bit of a clue: we’d like to be your second dining room. With wine at the heart of a kitchen that serves simple, yet never dull dishes, thanks to our chef Davide, originally from Puglia, who allows us to offer dishes from that land which hosted us for many years. If I had to describe this space of ours with one word, I’d choose the one that best belongs to the world of wine: CONVIVIALITY.
The main dish is meant to be the company, the exchange — and why not, with a glass of wine in hand. But really, the only way to get a feel for it is to come and visit us.

Meno, wines and other necessities is your second dining room – but in San Frediano. A modern and welcoming osteria with air conditioning, outdoor tables, and a summer veranda that invites you to stop by, even just for a glass. An informal restaurant with the aroma of Apulian cuisine and fresh pasta, where the menu is written on a blackboard and the wine often comes straight from the shelf.
Our chef, Davide, is from Bari: young, passionate, and skilled at turning wholesome, natural ingredients into hearty dishes. Here, you can dine outdoors, enjoy meat and fish, and uncork natural, biodynamic, sparkling and organic wines – also available by the litre or to take away.
We chose the name Meno because we want to strip away the superfluous: less formality, less fuss, fewer touristy things. With us, you’ll find genuine conviviality, homestyle cooking, and a selection of bottles for every taste (and every pocket).

A quiet corner, away from the hustle and bustle, where you can sit down and take your time.
We’re not just a restaurant. At Meno, you’ll also find direct wine sales, tastings, and bottles to take away. Natural wines, of course – the kind that really ferment and smell of the earth, not marketing. Drop by even just for a glass and two Apulian taralli, because here you can enjoy a good drink even without sitting down for dinner.
Wednesdays are for champions!
Every Wednesday, the bottles are served at the table at takeaway prices. It’s our favourite excuse to pour more good wine without making your wallet dizzy.
Today, let yourself be inspired by this one: Champ Levat, a red wine made from Mondeuse grapes from Savoy. Aged for 12 months in used barrels, it offers intense aromas of fresh fruit, spices, and balsamic hints. On the palate, it’s rich but fresh, with lively acidity and smooth tannins. The finish is long and memorable. It’s one of those wines that, if you forget it in the cellar, thanks you.
VILLAGE TUESDAY
Every first Tuesday of the month, Meno opens its doors free of charge to local residents. It’s our way of giving back to those who live around us and creating a real meeting opportunity – the kind that warms both the heart (and the stomach).
Everyone brings something to eat, tables are pushed together, and a neighbourhood dinner is born, made up of smiles, chatter, and shared dishes. No reservations, no fixed menu, just the desire to be together. “Let’s do social,” but the real kind: no notifications, just laughter and clinking glasses.
